Zhang Daqian

  • Zhang Daqian, courtesy name Ji Yuan, and Buddhist name Daqian, was a renowned Chinese modern artist born in Neijiang, Sichuan, with ancestral roots in Panyu, Guangdong. His reputation in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, alongside Qi Baishi and Pu Xinyu, earned him the titles “Southern Zhang, Northern Qi” and “Southern Zhang, Northern Pu.” Together with Huang Junbi and Pu Xinyu, he was also known as one of the "Three Masters Crossing the Sea."

    • Li Zuhan

      Li Zuhan (李祖韓, 1891-1964) was a painter from Zhenhai, Zhejiang Province, during the Republic of China period. His courtesy name was Zuo'an (左庵). He was the eldest son of the businessman Li Weizhuang and the older brother of the renowned female painter Li Qiujun.

      Yu Fei’an was born in Beijing. Original name is Yu Kuizhao, changed it to Yu Zhao later. A modern Chinese painter. After enrolling in a normal school in 1912, he taught at a private normal school and a private art department at North China University, while teaching at the National Painting Research Center attached to the antique exhibition hall. After 1949, He was a researcher of the Institute of Ethnic Art of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the vice president of the Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association, and the vice president of the Beijing Painting Academy.
