    • Zhang Daqian

      Zhang Daqian, courtesy name Ji Yuan, and Buddhist name Daqian, was a renowned Chinese modern artist born in Neijiang, Sichuan, with ancestral roots in Panyu, Guangdong. His reputation in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, alongside Qi Baishi and Pu Xinyu, earned him the titles “Southern Zhang, Northern Qi” and “Southern Zhang, Northern Pu.” Together with Huang Junbi and Pu Xinyu, he was also known as one of the "Three Masters Crossing the Sea."

Wang excelled in flower painting, characterized by bold and large brushstrokes, emphasizing grandeur and energy, and he captured the essence of his teachers' styles.
