Cao Rulin

• Cao Rulin (1877-1966), courtesy name Runtian, was a high-ranking official in the early Republic of China and the leader of the New Communications Clique. Before the May Fourth Movement, he served as Minister of Transportation, Minister of Finance, and General Manager of the Bank of Communications. He was also a politician in the Beiyang Government (Beijing Government).
