    • YA MING

      Ya Ming is a Chinese artist born in Anhui, China. He left great portraits and landscape paintings. You can see his well-trained skill in bold stroke using ink on his landscape paintings. He held his exhibitions not just in China but in Europe and Asia, Accordingly, He got a high reputation from the world.

    • Wei Zixi

      Wei Zixi was a prominent painter of Jiangsu Chinese Paining Academy. He graduated from Henan Normal University of Art. After the People’s Republic of China was established, he served as painter of Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Painting Academy, honorary director of Xuzhou Chinese Painting Academy, and member of the third China Artists Association.

    • Lu Yanshao

      Lu Yanshao (1909-1993), a modern painter, courtesy name was Wan Ruo, art name was Di, born in Jiading Shanghai. In 1926, he entered Wuxi Art College. In 1927, he entered Wuxi Art Academy and learned poetry and calligraphy from Wang Tongyu; the following year, he learned painting from Feng Chaoran, and met Wun Hufan, and traveled to the noeth and the south. In 1956, he served as painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute.

    • Lin Sanzhi

      Lin Sanzhi, with the courtesy name Sanzhi and the pseudonyms "San Chi" and "Zuoye," as well as "Jiangshang Laoren" (Elder of the Jiang River), was originally from Hexian County, Anhui Province. He was a renowned modern Chinese calligrapher and painter.

    • Xie Zhiliu

      Xie Zhiliu (1910-1997), courtesy name Zhiliu, and pseudonym Zhuangmuweng, was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. He was an expert in calligraphy and the appraisal of ancient books and paintings. Along with Zhang Heng (Zhang Congyu), he was famously known as "Zhang of the North, Xie of the South." Xie held many prestigious positions, including vice chairman of the Shanghai Cultural Heritage Protection Committee, advisor to the Shanghai Museum, director of the China Artists Association (CAA) and vice chairman of its Shanghai branch, as well as director of the China Calligraphers Association and vice chairman of its Shanghai branch. He also served as a member of the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee.

    • Tang Yun

      Tang Yun (1910-1993), courtesy name Xiachen, art names Yaocheng, Yaochen, and Yaoweng, served as Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Branch of the China Artists Association, Vice President, Acting President, and Honorary President of the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy.
