Lu Yanshao

• Lu Yanshao (1909-1993), a modern painter, courtesy name was Wan Ruo, art name was Di, born in Jiading Shanghai. In 1926, he entered Wuxi Art College. In 1927, he entered Wuxi Art Academy and learned poetry and calligraphy from Wang Tongyu; the following year, he learned painting from Feng Chaoran, and met Wun Hufan, and traveled to the noeth and the south. In 1956, he served as painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute.
