Introduce: Chiharu Shiota (born in 1972) is holding a large-scale solo exhibition in her hometown of Osaka for the first time in 16 years. Currently based in Berlin and active internationally, Shiota confronts the fundamental human issues of "life and death" and continues to question "what it means to live" and "what existence is" through her works. This exhibition aims to approach the "connections" with others that we have become acutely aware of due to the global pandemic through three "I"s: "I," "Eye," and "Love (Ai)." Each of these elements interacts in various ways, connecting us with the surrounding existence. Centered around installations, the exhibition features a diverse range of works, including paintings, drawings, sculptures, and videos, offering an intimate dialogue with the "connected self."
