  ARMAN was a French contemporary artist known for works that explored themes of mass production and consumer society through the use of everyday objects and discarded materials. He became widely recognized for his "Accumulations," a technique involving the collection and repetition of objects such as musical instruments, clocks, and tools. As a major member of the European avant-garde movement "Nouveau Réalisme" in the 1960s, he transformed manufactured objects into works of art, presenting new perspectives on material culture and consumerism. Working across sculpture, printmaking, and installation, Arman played a significant role in postwar contemporary art and continues to be highly regarded as an important artist of the era.
