UMEHARA RYUZABURO, a Japanese Western-style painter, born in Shimogyo ward, Kyoto city, Kyoto Prefecture.He studied oil painting in Europe and freely incorporated traditional Japanese art styles such as Momoyama art, Rinpa, and Nanga into his work. His paintings, characterized by brilliant colors and bold brushstrokes, created a decorative artistic style. Through these works, he became a significant figure in the Japanese Western painting scene during the Shōwa period and established his position in the field.
