  Artist Introduction：CHRISTO & JEANNE-CLAUDE, an artist couple creating environmental artwork. Husband Christo and wife Jeanne-Claude were born on the same June 13, 1935. Christo was born in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, and Jeanne-Claude in Casablanca, French Morocco. They are known for their large-scale art projects in which they cover historical buildings with fabric. After Jeanne-Claude's death in 2009, Christo continued his creative activities, but passed away in May 2020 without seeing the completion of the "Wrapped Arc de Triomphe," which was postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. After that, with the cooperation of his supporters, the project was finally realized in September 2021, some 60 years after it was conceived.
