Lu Yifei

  • Lu Yifei (1908-1997), other name was Chong, courtesy name was Yi Fei, art name was Su Sou, born in Changshu Jiangsu, a well-known Chinese modern painter and outstanding art educator. He specializes in bird-and-flower painting, especially peony. He produced “Flowers and Full Moon”, “Spring to the Countryside”, “Peach Blossoms”, etc. He was a professor of the China Academy of Art, a research student instructor, a vice director of the Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Institute, an honorary director of the Changshu Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and adviser of the Xiling Seal Art Society.

    • Lu Hui

      Lu Hui (陸恢), originally named Youhui (友恢), also known as Youkui (友奎), with courtesy names Lianfu (廉夫) and Juanyi (狷盫), and pseudonyms such as Juansou (狷叟) and Pofu'an Zhuren (破佛盫主人), was a Chinese painter from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republican period. He was skilled in various genres of traditional Chinese painting, including landscapes, flowers and birds, and figure painting.

      Zhu Meicun, also known as Duyanbanlong Jushi, was born in Wu County, Jiangsu. He is good at Chinese painting and New Year painting. When he was young, he studied under Fan Shaoyun, and from the age of 13, he learned painting from his mother's brother, Wu Hufan. He attended Suzhou Second Middle School, but due to otitis media, he transferred to a private school and studied ancient literature with Wang Kangji for six years. He is 19 and he makes a living selling paintings. He founded the Zheng Painting Society with Ye Gongchuo, Wu Hufan, Zhang Daqian and Feng Chaoran.
