Wu Xiaoren, whose courtesy name was Jinghu, was also known as Jinhuwaishi, and later as Laojing. During the Republic of China, he was good at calligraphy and poetry. He became famous for imitating Liu Shi'an to get his essence.

Wang Yachen
Wang Yachen (1894-1983) was born in Hangzhou Zhejiang, originally from Taiping (now Huangshan). In 1915, he and Chen and others established China’s first painting association called “the Oriental Painting Association”. He came to Japan in 1916, graduated from the Western Painting Department of Tokyo University of the Arts in 1921, and returned to China in the same year, and served as the professor and the chief of Shanghai Art College. From 1928 to 1931, he went to Europe for research, and after returning to China, he was the principal of the Qing Arts College and the principal of the Xinhua Arts Normal School. In 1947, he traveled to the United States, held lectures and painting exhibitions, and worked to spread Chinese painting.
