Jin Cheng

  • Jin Cheng (1878-1926), a Modern Chinese calligrapher, courtesy name was Gong Bei, art name was Bei Lou and Ou Hu, born in Wuxing Zhejiang. He was born in a scholarly family. From an early age, he had a preference for paintings.

    • Chen Nian

      Chen Nian was born in Shnayin, Zhejiang. Grow up in a poor family and learnt poetry and calligraphy by himself in his childhood. Admire Wu Changshuo as his master. Moved to Beijing when he was 40-year-old and worked at Beijing library. After that become a teacher at Peiping Art School. Good at painting flowers and scenery, calligraphy and seal carving. Worked as a Director of China Artists Association, Vice President of Beijing Academy of Fine Arts, President of Chinese Painting Research Association.

      Shan Qi (善耆), courtesy name Aitang (艾堂), was a member of the Aisin Gioro clan, from the Manchu Xiangbai Banner. He was the 10th generation of the Suqinq Wang (肃亲王), a hereditary title in the Qing Dynasty, and held the position of the highest-ranking prince in the Qing imperial family. Shan Qi was a prominent noble and official during the late Qing Dynasty.
