Chen Handi, with the courtesy name as Zhongshu, the art name as Fu Lu. Politician and calligrapher born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. When he was young, he went to Japan to study and entered the Shogunate, the governor of the three eastern provinces. After the Xinhai Revolution, he served as secretary-general of the State Council and was involved in the compilation of the Qing Shikan. He is one of the founders of the Chinese Painting Studies Society. He is skilled at painting flowers, dead trees, and bamboo and stones.

Lin Zhijun
Lin Zhijun, courtesy name Zaiping and nickname Beiyun, was a native of Min County, Fujian. He and Shen Junru were candidates for the Guimao imperial examination and studied in Japan before the Revolution of 1911. He once served as the Minister of Justice and Administration of the Beiyang Government and later became a tutor at the Tsinghua Research Institute.
