      Zhang Ruitu, courtesy name Changgong, also known by the pseudonyms Ershui, Baihao Anzhu, and Guoting Shannren, was a prominent figure from the late Ming dynasty. He hailed from Xiahang Township in the 27th district of Jinjiang, Fujian. He achieved the rank of "Tanhua" (third place in the imperial examination) in the 1599 (Ming Wanli 丁未) examination. Known for his exceptional calligraphy, his style was unique, bold, and dynamic, with a forceful brushwork and striking, unconventional forms that made a lasting impression.
