      Shen Wei (1862-1945), courtesy name was You Huo, art name was Qi Quan and Jianchao Laoren, born in Jianxing Zhejiang. He passed palace examination “Jinshi” in 1890 and started editing at Hanlin Academy. He was good at poertry and calligraphy, and lived in Shanghai in his later years.

Many of his works has human figures and flowers illustrated within them.
