Ou Haonian

• Ou Haonian, a painter of the Lingnan School, is considered the leading figure in Taiwan's contemporary art scene. At the age of 17, he became a disciple of the renowned Lingnan School master Zhao Shao'ang, dedicating himself to intensive study and mastering the craft to become a distinguished artist in his own right. His painting subjects are diverse, excelling in flower-and-bird painting, landscapes, portraits, and animals. In addition, he has extensively studied calligraphy and poetry. His artistic achievements are rich and multifaceted.

    Wu Zuoren (吳作人), originally from Jing County, Anhui, and born in Suzhou, Jiangsu, was a highly accomplished Chinese artist, skilled in both oil painting and traditional Chinese painting. In 1960, he became a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and was appointed the first academic dean. Later, he served as the vice president, president, and eventually the honorary president of the academy.
