    • Wu Yong

      Wu Yong, courtesy name is Yuchuan and Panan, art name is Taoist Guanfu, born in Xingxing, Zhejiang. Studied under Guo Shaoxian in early years, married to Zeng Jize in 1888. Worked as a governor of Zhirei Trial Prefecture, involved in the Western affairs movement, recognized by Zhang In-huan. After Zeng Jize passed away young, married Sheng Xuan Hui's cousin. In the early days of the Republic of China, he was appointed Chief Justice of Shandong Province. Learned calligraphy from Dong Qichang.

      Qi Baishi (1864-1957), courtesy name was Wei Qing, art name was Bin Sheng, Jiping Laoren and Baishi Shanren, a prominent contemporary Chinese painter. He became a painter from a carpenter and he succeeded in painting. Many of his works had plants and animals.

      Wu Kai (吳楷), courtesy name Xingsheng, and pseudonym Lin Waishi, was born in Wu County (now Suzhou, Jiangsu Province). He was a renowned painter during the Qing Dynasty, particularly under the reigns of Emperor Jiaqing and Emperor Xianfeng. Wu Kai specialized in painting flowers, rocks, and landscapes. His works were highly regarded during his time and contributed to the artistic legacy of the late Qing period.
