The exhibition will showcase paintings created from the Qing dynasty to the modern era, selected from the "Teiseido Collection" donated by Mr. Lin Zongyi (1923-2006) to Izumi City in 2000, which is part of the Chinese art collection at the Izumi City Kuboso Memorial Museum of Arts.

Mr. Lin was from the Lin Benyuan family, one of Taiwan's three great families, and named his collection "Teiseido" after the building associated with his family heritage. These "Teiseido Collection" works of calligraphy and painting have also been donated to and are preserved at the Tokyo National Museum and the National Palace Museum in Taipei, in addition to the Kuboso Museum.

Through this exhibition, visitors will enjoy the diverse charms of Chinese painting, with works by artists who upheld traditional Chinese painting techniques and those who, influenced by Western and Japanese art, created distinctive and rich expressions.
