Introduce: Paris, Tokyo and Osaka - collections from museums in three cities that have nurtured their own unique cultures will come together. The Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de la Ville de Paris, which stands on the banks of the Seine River, the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, which is close to the Imperial Palace, and the Nakanoshima Art Museum, Osaka, which is located in the heart of Osaka, have all built rich collections of modern art as museums in major cities.

This exhibition attempts to present an unprecedented and unique trio of works from the collections of these three museums that have something in common.

The trio of works, which transcend time periods, schools, Western and Eastern cultures, have a variety of commonalities in terms of subject matter, motifs, colours, shapes, materials and the backgrounds in which the works were created, and are freely conceived. The exhibition presents 34 trios of 150 works by a total of 110 artists, including paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs, designs and films, divided into seven chapters according to themes and concepts, to propose a new way of looking at modern art from the early 20th century to the present day and to highlight its appeal.
