Introduce: To commemorate the 1250th anniversary of Kukai's birth, the Nara National Museum will host a comprehensive exhibition. This exhibition will unravel the entirety of Esoteric Buddhism introduced to Japan by tracing its transmission routes from East Asia through the Silk Road. Furthermore, through numerous Buddhist statues and paintings, it will recreate the "mandala space" emphasized by Kukai, highlighting the aspect of "seeing is understanding" in Esoteric Buddhism.
