Introduce: During the late Ming Dynasty, antique sometsuke (blue and white porcelain) was produced in the Jingdezhen kilns of China as export goods to Japan. The diverse shapes of antique sometsuke, favored and cherished by tea connoisseurs, are adorned with remarkably delicate paintings. Yanagi Soetsu praised these vessels, stating that "the true life of sometsuke is being revived." This exhibition not only showcases the antique sometsuke held in our collection, but also invites viewers to appreciate the powerful craftsmanship born throughout China's long history.
