TOTOYA HOKKEI was one of Hokusai's most accomplished pupils and is particularly celebrated for his deluxe surimono and bijin-ga. His prints are distinguished by refined compositions, elegant color harmonies, and exceptional printing techniques, reflecting the sophisticated literary culture of late Edo Japan. Today, his works are regarded among the finest achievements of surimono production.
