  WANG LU was born on August 1, 1936, in Huoqiu County, Anhui Province. Influenced by his father, Wang Yeqiu, he developed a strong interest in painting. In 1961, he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, studying under renowned masters such as Wu Zuoren. As a member of the Chinese Artists Delegation, he attended the opening ceremonies of Chinese painting exhibitions in Japan in 1976 and 1983, led by Wu Zuoren. In 1995, he held a solo exhibition in Portland, USA, showcasing a large number of works. Over the course of his artistic career, he has participated in 89 domestic exhibitions with a total of 353 works and has received ten awards.
