ZHANG XIHUA is a painter of the Manchu ethnic group from Changwu, Liaoning Province, known for his expertise in oil painting. He entered the oil painting department at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1959 and graduated in 1964. After graduation, he joined the Liaoning Provincial Artists Association's creative group, where he developed his professional artistic practice. In 1979, he was transferred to the Liaoning Museum of Art, and in 1982, the institution was restructured into the Liaoning Academy of Painting, where he worked as a full-time artist, showcasing his talent. Currently, he is a member of the China Artists Association and serves as the vice president of the Yalu River Watercolor Painting Association in Liaoning. He has also established his position as a national first-class artist (professor).
