NASAKA YUKO, Japanese artist. She won consecutive awards at the 1962 Nika Exhibition and Ashiya City Exhibition. The following year, she met YOSHIHARA JIRO. In 1963, she joined the Gutai Art Association. As her family owned a manufacturing company for meters, "circles" were very familiar to her. In 1964, she held her first solo exhibition at the Gutai Pinacotheca. She exhibited a large piece covering the entire wall using concentric circles motif created using rotating plates. The connection of various concentric circles expresses the repetition of infinitely expanding space.
