TOMOKA, graduated from Keio University in 2012 with a degree in Aesthetics and Art History from the Department of Humanities and Sociology, Faculty of Letters. She studied art history and museum studies and qualified as a curator. After graduating from university, she went to the United States to pursue a career as an artist, and returned to Japan in 2017 with a second bachelor's degree from PARSONS THE NEW SCHOOL FOR DESIGN BFA in New York, which is considered one of the world's top three art universities.
After returning, she participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally. Since 2021, she has been developing an original character series called "The null" with the theme of "Where does our value as consumers lie?" The concept of her works revolve around skepticism towards existing concepts and the transformation of values.
Using the commercial expression method of "characters". She views otaku culture and the art context itself as found objects, transforming them into soft power through her unique interpretation and presenting her works to men and women of all ages and genders.
