  KURODA YORITSUNA, Western-style painter, born in Yoyogi, Tokyo, nephew of KURODA SEIKI. In 1927, he entered the Western painting department of Tokyo Fine Arts School, and studied under OKADA SQABUROSUKE, Western-style painter. In 1947, he founded Shinjukai with ASAI KANEMON and IDE NOBUMICHI, and others. He has been a professor at Joshibi University of Art and Design since 1964.
