INOUE YUICHI, was born in Tokyo in 1916, is an artist who represents Japan in the late 20th century. With his shaved head, he wields a huge brush, splashes ink, crawls and rolls around like no one else, uninhibited and unrestrained, a wild and unrestrained man. At a time when the whole of Japan was indulging in rapid economic growth, he remained anonymous, on his feet, and honestly, and finally hone himself into an artist who represents Japan and is known in the world art history.
