Artist Introduction:SAITO YOSHISHIGE, contemporary artist and professor at Tama Art University, born in Aomori, Japan. He created works in pursuit of expression that transcends the boundaries between painting and sculpture. He left a number of works that are representative of postwar contemporary art and greatly influenced the artists of the "Mono-ha" school. In 1959, he was awarded the National Museum of Modern Art Prize at the Japan International Art Exhibition, and in the same year, he participated in the São Paulo Art Biennial. In the early 1960s, he was inundated with requests from galleries around the world to hold solo exhibitions of his work.
