室江丹長（1841-1903）原名叫室江吉兵衛，出生於高岡片原町是一位在雕金及鑄金上有著特殊技能的名手。特別是《鼠》的作品，更是在雕技術上有著前無古人之稱。據說當時在自己家飼養老鼠，作為觀察題材，因此他所鑄造的老鼠極為逼真，充滿寫實性，得到了很高的評價。
