Qian Qi
-
Qian Qi, originally named Qi, changed his name to "Qi" (棨) to avoid sharing the same name as the Tang dynasty poet Qian Qi. His courtesy name was Zhenwu, and his art name was Xiangling. He was a native of Changzhou in Suzhou Prefecture and a descendant of Qian Liu, the King of Wuyue. He was the great-grandson of Qian Zhongxie. During the Qing dynasty, he was one of the six top-ranked zhuangyuan (champions) in the imperial examinations and served as an official.
