Hua Luogeng

• Hua Luogeng was born in Jintan District, Changzhou, Jiangsu, with ancestral roots in Danyang, Jiangsu. He was a mathematician, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a foreign member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, a member of the Third World Academy of Sciences, and a member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Germany. He served as a researcher and former director of the Institute of Mathematics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was also Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
