Zhang Gumin

• Dr. Zhang Gumin (also known as Zhang Guomin) was born in 1961 in Hangzhou. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1988, and in 1997 entered the Landscape Painting Research Institute at the China Academy of Art, where he received his master’s degree in 2000. He is currently a professor and doctoral advisor in the Department of Chinese Painting at the School of Plastic Arts, China Academy of Art. He also serves as Vice President of the Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Academy, a member of the China Artists Association, a specially appointed researcher at the China National Academy of Arts, and Vice Chairman of the Hangzhou Artists Association.
