Zangsou Langyu

Sōrōyo was a monk during the Kamakura period and inherited the Linji school's lineage. He followed Eisan, a disciple of Eizai, received his heart seal, and succeeded his teachings. After Eisan's passing, Sōrōyo resided at Chōraku-ji in Sagami, Kanagawa, before moving to Jufuku-ji in Kamakura, where he was ranked third among the Five Mountains of Kamakura.
