  • Hu Kaiwen

    Hu Kaiwen (1742–1808) was an expert in Hu ink. He is generally known as Hu Tianzhu, with the courtesy name Zhucheng and the pseudonym Zaifeng. He was from Shangzhuang, Jixi County, Anhui Province. The varieties of ink cakes he produced were numerous, and his "Jijin Ink" was long used as tribute to the imperial court.
