Cheng Zongdao

• Cheng Zongdao was from Chang'an (now Xi'an). He was skilled in painting Buddhist and Taoist figures, learning from Wu Daozi. He was also proficient in stone engraving, and he replicated Wu Daozi's brushwork on stone, particularly for the wall paintings of Chang'an.
