Rong Geng

• Rong Geng, originally named Rong Zhaogeng, with the courtesy name Xibai and the pseudonym Songzhai, was from Dongguan, Guangdong. He was born into a family with a long history of calligraphy and official service during the late Qing Dynasty. He held various academic positions, including professor at Yenching University, editor-in-chief of the Yenching Journal of Studies, and professor in the Chinese Department at Sun Yat-sen University.
