KOISO RYOHEI

  • KOISO RYOHEI, a Japanese Western-style painter, studied Western painting at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. After studying in France, he returned to Japan and was involved in the formation of the New Creation Association (now the New Production Association). During the war, he worked as a war painter. His works mainly focus on portraits and landscapes, characterized by delicate depictions and elegant colors.
