Sheng Dashi

• Sheng Dashi (Qing Dynasty), courtesy name Zilu, and also known by the aliases Yiyun and Landaoren, was a scholar who passed the imperial examination and became a juren in the fifth year of the Jiaqing reign (1800). His landscape painting was influenced by the Wang family of Loudong, characterized by a grand and elegant style with a distinctive and impressive quality.
