Wang Jingzeng

Wang Jingzeng, styled Xu Zhan and also known by the courtesy name Zhi Yan, was a native of Wanping, Shuntian (present-day Beijing). He was a grandson of Wang Xizhi and a great-grandson of Wang Chongjian. In the 39th year of the Kangxi reign, he passed the imperial examination and became a jinshi. He held the highest position as the Left Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Justice, and in the first year of the Yongzheng reign, he was reassigned as the Left Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Rites.
