    Min Zhen, styled Zhengzhai, was from Wuxue, Hubei, and one of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou. He studied the style of Wu Wei of the Ming dynasty and excelled in landscapes, figure paintings, and bird-and-flower paintings, often executed in the freehand style with bold and expressive brushwork. Occasionally, he also produced meticulous gongbi works. His figure paintings are particularly distinctive, with concise and natural lines, vividly capturing both form and spirit.
