Lin Hong

• Lin Hongnian (林鴻年), courtesy name Bicun (勿村), a native of Fuzhou, was the first scholar in Fujian during the Qing Dynasty, having attained the first rank in the 16th year of the Daoguang reign. In the 18th year of the Daoguang period, he was appointed as an ambassador to the Ryukyu Kingdom, and later served as governor of Qiongzhou Prefecture in Guangdong, governor of Lin'an Prefecture in Yunnan, and governor of Yunnan Province.
