    Zheng Boping was born in Shanghai. She is an associate professor at the Shanghai University Literature College Art Education Research Center. From an early age she liked to draw. She studied under the well-known Chinese painter Huan. Later she also studied under Chen Chen Zhou and Zi Zi Cai. She became the granddaughter of Zhang Daqian and Wu Hufan. She is a member of the Shanghai Artists Association.
