FRANZ NAAGER was a German painter, sculptor, and decorative artist from Munich. He studied at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and later established a workshop in Venice in 1901, where he produced sculptures, mosaics, and architectural decorations. In 1910, he created decorative reliefs for the exterior of Berlin’s Admiralspalast. After returning to Germany, he focused on ceramics and architectural ornamentation. Known for blending traditional craftsmanship with refined decorative style, his work is housed in institutions such as the Lenbachhaus and the Bavarian State Painting Collections.
