DOMOTO MOTOTSUGU

  • DOMOTO MOTOTSUGU, born in Kyoto and studied to become a Japanese-stily painte. He experienced the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. He studied under Impression DOMOTO INSHO and tried hsi hand at various genres including contemporary and abstract paintings. In 1972 he visited China and was fascinated by simple Chinese landscape. In 1982 won the Prime Minister's Prize at the Nitten Exhibition. In 1987 won the Japan Art Academy Prize and became a leading painter at the Nitten Exhibition.
