GIANNI VISENTIN, Italian sculptor, trained as a painter before turning to sculpture. He lived in France from the mid-1960s to the late 1970s, where he was exposed to avant-garde art and the cultural milieus. His work often focuses on themes such as environmental protection, peeace, reconciliation, freedom and love, and have be presented to many notable personages, including Pope John Paul II.
