Wu Dongmai

  • Wu Dongmai (1886-1963), also known as Wu Mai, was born in Anji Zhejiang. He lived in Shanghai for long time, and was Wu Changshuo’s third son. His calligraphy and painting inherited the style of Wu Changshuo.

    • Ruan Xingshan

      Ruan Xingshan (阮性山), pseudonyms Mu Shi (号: 木石), Mu Shi Hu (木石湖), and Mu Shi Weng (木石翁), was born in Hangzhou. He was particularly skilled in the coloration of flowers, with a special focus on painting plum blossoms (梅) and bamboo (竹). In his middle age, he suffered from an illness that led to hearing loss, which caused him to dedicate himself fully to the pursuit of painting.
