Yin Zixiang, whose name is Xiliang and whose courtesy name is Zixiang, is also named Zixiang. His nickname is Qingzhao Guizhu and his family name is Qingzhaolou. He is a native of Huai'an, Jiangsu Province. He is a skilled painter with excellent eyesight. He can paint under the moonlight. His brush strokes are as fast as flying, and his colors are beautiful. He is highly regarded among scholars. The landscapes, figures, elegant brushwork and vivid vitality can be traced back to the Tang and Song dynasties. He carefully studied the Six Methods, and his landscape and figure paintings have been traced back to the Tang, Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties. In the 1940s, he became world-famous for his horse paintings. He is one of the famous maritime figures.
