    Zhou Yingqin (周應芹), courtesy name Zixiang (字: 子香), and pseudonym Shuiying (号: 水英), was born in Dongtai, Jiangsu Province. He was a scholar and a skilled calligrapher and painter. He excelled in landscape painting (山水画) and flower-and-bird painting (花鳥画), and his style was similar to that of Hua Xinluo (華新羅).
