YOU JINGDONG

• JINGDONG YOU, born in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, China, good at Lianhuanhua and printmaking. In 1965, he enterd the Central Academy of Finr Arts. In 1978, after the Cultural Revolution, he entered the printmaiking department of the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang. While in school, he published Lianhuanhua "Vianina Vanini" which were well received by the art world. In 1985, he compeleted his doctorate at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and continued teaching there. In 1990, he went to Japan to study as a professional painter, and studied acrylic techniques. In 2000, he returned to China and taught at the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
